MESSAGE: Psalm 92:10 But my horn (strength) You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil. Oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. It represents God's presence and power in your life. Oil was poured on priests and kings to set them apart for the work they were called to do. They were anointed. To anoint is to rub in, smear, or pour on. The power of God would come on them and they would go out and do mighty works for God. Many people today have experienced the presence and power of God. They have seen Satan defeated in many areas of many lives. But for some reason- apathy, lack of excitement about Jesus, failure to grow in Christ, getting satisfied with yesterday's victories, or whatever else - they are not experiencing the power of God today. They live in yesterday's victories when God is saying They are new every morning (Lamentations 3:23). We need to learn to drink daily from God's Word, the Bible, pray daily, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, stay teachable and receive correction and continually be filled with the Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost in Acts 2 the disciples (about 120 in all) were baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire. They not only began to speak in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance but immediately went to the streets and about 3,000 souls were won to Jesus that very day. Peter knew he could not live on yesterday's glory so in Acts 4:29-31 he prayed to be filled again for boldness to continue to be effective for the Kingdom of God. Acts 4:29 "And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Thy bondservants may speak Thy word with all confidence (boldness) (30) while Thou dost extend Thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Thy holy servant Jesus (31) And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the Word of God with boldness." You don't necessarily need an new Word from God or a new Scripture - you need a fresh Word. "For the word of God is living and active ..." (Heb. 4:12). Jesus said "the words I speak to you are spirit and are life" (John 6:63). Pray for fresh oil, fresh anointing. Pray that the Bible will come alive to you, even Scriptures you have known for a long time. When the Word of God is fresh, it will produce the desired results - salvations, healings, deliverance, peace, victories. Remember - "...the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil." (Is. 10:27 in the New King James version). You see in Acts 2, Peter had an experience with the Holy Ghost. In Acts 4, he had another experience with the same Holy Ghost. There is one baptism in the Holy Ghost but many fillings. Perhaps you need a fresh filling today for todays battles and challenges. Recently, a lady came to a Cowboy Church-Bandera meeting. She told us she had been close to God at one time but now she felt so far away. She was ready to come back. I told her draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Through tears of repentance and joy she said, That's the first Scripture I learned sixteen years ago. She knew it was James 4:8. But, that night it became fresh in her spirit again and produced joy and a knowing that she was accepted by God, and still loved by God and also those of us who were there. You see, she did not need a new Word, she needed a fresh Word - fresh oil. She left refreshed that night. God wants us to continue to produce fruit for the kingdom of God. Psalm 92:14 "They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh (full of oil or sap) and flourishing (green)." Something green is alive and still producing. If you feel dried up, almost lifeless concerning the things of God although you have experienced His power in the past, pray this, "Father I need fresh oil, a fresh anointing from You. Fill me fresh with the Holy Spirit so I can be effective to serve you all the days of my life. Make Your word come alive in me again. I ask for fresh , fresh, fresh oil. I receive it and I thank You. In Jesus name, Amen." THE FIRST STEP TO FRESH OIL - When you receive Jesus as Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to live in you and will raise you to eternal life. This first experience with Jesus is essential for eternal life and is your first experience with the oil of the Holy Spirit which gives you love, joy and peace and power to live a life pleasing to God. If you are sorry for your sins and ready to turn from sin and receive Jesus, Pray this. "Dear God I am a sinner. Forgive me. I need a Savior. I receive Jesus as my Savior now and I make Him the Lord of my life. Thank you for dying on the cross for me and giving me eternal life. Fill me with the oil of the Holy Spirit and give me power to be the child of God You want me to be. Fill me fresh every day. In Jesus name I pray." Now (1) Get baptized (2) Read the Bible everyday (3) Pray everyday (4) Meet with other Christians regularly (5) Tell others about Jesus. (See Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8, 6:23, 10:9&10 and John 3:16 and I John 5:11-13). INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE: - When we meet together, pray together, work together for the Lord it produces a fresh oil. We sort of rub off on each other. We actually impart spiritual gifts to each other (Romans 1:11) Recently, I anointed everyone at Cowboy Church-Bandera with oil for fresh anointing. Although I can't do that through this newsletter, the encouragement you receive can produce fresh oil in your lives. Also the encouragement we get from you in prayers, letters, helps, finances and other gifts encourages us to keep on doing what God has called us to do. We continue to receive from you and pour out to others. The anointing on this ministry transfers to our partners and we pray fresh anointing on you who partner up with us.

EXPECTATION: See people saved, set free, healed spiritually, physically, emotionally, filled with the Holy Spirit, and living a life pleasing to God.
